In any case… I did some research and found some times these blog scrappers they search for terms like “target keyword” + “powered by wordpress” or “wordpress”. So I took off anything that said ‘wordpress’ on my site and the spam seems to have died down for the time being.

I am hesitant to put a captcha on my blog because I would rather just deal with spam than lose a genuine user over making them take an extra step to comment.
